Well who knows what is going on with the charts. Unfortunately the archives weren't good during April and May but get better for June. Looks like Styx may still have the number 1 hit this week with Thomas Dolby challenging at the second spot. Michael Jackson, Journey and David Bowie round out the top 5.

NB.. Unfortunately due to poor archiving the Chart is missing two tracks and the numbering is wonky. But note there was only three new entries this week.

1050 Chum Chart Saturday April 16, 1983 Thirty Years Later

Styx holds down the number 1 spot with Mr. Roboto. Journey and the Pretenders are back for another week in the top 5. Thomas Dolby brings his classic into the Top 5 at number 4. By the time we hit June we should be out of the wonky charts. Alas, if only I could score a Ron Hall 1050 Chum Book:)

Styx take over the top spot from Michael Jackson with Mr Roboto. Again, the chart is alittle scrambled as the archives won't give us an accurate picture. It looks like Journey, The Pretenders and Thomas Dolby round out the top 5. Interesting enough Michael has 2 tracks in the top 10 at the same time.

1050 Chum Chart Saturday April 2, 1983 Thirty Years Later

If only I had the Ron Hall Chum 1050 Chum Book. Alittle confusing this week as the chart is all over the place with its numbering. Michael Jackson remains at number 1 for another week while Beat It makes it into the top 10 at the same time. Styx holds at number 2. Duran Duran freezes at number 3. Journey moves into the top 5 with Separate Ways. It must have been the video which propelled it into the high echelons of the chart. Not sure who else rounds out the top 5. Maybe the Pretenders?
